About
I was born in Barcelona in 1975. I have a degree in Arabic and Hebrew Philology and I have a degree in Film Directing. My academic training has focused on the study of these two Semitic languages and on film. I think that both disciplines complement each other perfectly and, besides, they also feed themselves. If the study of Philologies has allowed me to delve into the interpretations of myths, the cinema has helped me to give them a visual and sound form.
My work consists of creating new spaces and elements from the reinterpretation of reality and its multiple views. To do this, I make use of all the possibilities that photography offers me and, at the same time, it stimulates me at the moment when I have to think what the creative, the imaginary and the pictorial represent for me.
For years I worked at the Centre d’Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya in different artistic projects within the pedagogical field. I was assistant to Director and Editor in the feature film Invocation (LVII Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica. La Biennale Di Venezia 2000) by director Héctor Faver.
Currently, I combine photography with screenwriting.
